"Silla"

"I purchased my Purebred Arabian filly (Silla) 15 months ago as a yearling with plans for her to be halter shown. I contacted Caroline to enquire about ECS Membership and getting a diet evaluation done as with Silla being a yearling at the time, it was so important for me to make sure she was getting everything she needed. Having her diet all completely balanced for me made life so much easier.
There was a problem with Silla's front o/s leg a few months after she arrived, I thought her show career was over before it could even begin, Caroline made a grain-free diet up for Silla and it seemed to make a huge difference with her leg, a few months later she went on to win 3 First placings at our first local Ag show.
At this stage I'm not sure if she will be shown again but I'm looking forward to the end of next year or early 09' for her to be broken to saddle, in the meantime I'm just enjoying having a beautiful healthy horse, and her looking so good is all due to Caroline." - Lyn DeWeldon, Queensland

"Bentley and Roi"

"Bentley - 9 year old TB - a very ordinary racing career in NSW. He then went into hacking and had better luck in winning SHC Newcomer Horse of the Year at his first ever show. I brought him 12 months ago and as he is only my second ever horse, have been getting to know him. I play around at dressage with him and I am enjoying the learning journey. I delight in every experience I have with him as he is truly an interesting character - trusting and playful. He is a joy to ride and is truly responsive - which has meant that I have to become a much better rider!
Roi is an 11 year old TB who had a more successful racing career but who is now enjoying semi-retirement and teaching my husband, Paul, the joys of building a relationship with a horse, horse riding and horse care! Roi is a pretty laid back character who has survived a couple of really nasty float accidents in the past and is now being gently rehabilitated into the quiet life of Leslie Vale in Tasmania. Being a relatively 'green' horse-owner, I really appreciate the service that my ECS membership offers me. Trying to determine an appropriate and cost effective feeding and supplementation regime is a nightmare for people like me! There is just so much advice and twice as many wives (or old farmer's) tales out there that trying to determine what's needed to keep my horses in healthy condition appropriate to their workload was just so confusing. Caroline's advice has been great and Bentley and Roi have thrived since we changed to their new ration! Thanks Caroline!" - Francine Targett, Tasmania.

"Danbar El Saraya", rising 2yo colt

"I have been breeding arabians for over 25 years, and although I am not a serious breeder, more a hobby breeder, my aim is to breed conformationally sound and beautiful horses suitable for both saddle and halter. I only show sparingly, but I love to see the horses I breed and sell out in the showring, proving their versitility and soundness in whatever their owners choose for them. Currently, horses I have bred are successfully competing in endurance, hacking, and halter.
Nutrition is very important to me, and so I contacted Caroline with regards to my already existing diet to find out if it was a balanced diet for all of my horses. As I own 14 horses, not only is it important to have the diet balanced, I also need the best value for money when feeding them. What impressed me most about Caroline, is that she listened to what I had to say about each horse, I gave her the feeds I already use, and the produce stores in my areas, and not only did Caroline give me a diet for each horse, she also did a costing on what each horse cost to feed.
My current horses range from yearling colts , to mature stallions, pregnant mares, aged horses and ponies. I find there is nothing more satisfying as looking out my window and seeing all my horses looking a picture of health.

"Crispy"

"The health of my horses is extremely important to me, so when I was first thinking of breeding from my 17 yr old maiden Trakhener mare I spoke to Caroline regarding a diet. Caroline assisted me with diets throughout the pregnancy and then following the birth of my pride and joy a chestnut Trakhener Colt, she has been a wonderful support and I in turn have inundated her with pictures of Crispy as he has grown. Corry is now pregnant with her second Trakhener baby and once again Caroline is helping me with diets along the way.
Besides breeding my own future dressage horses, I am a qualified Equine Body Worker and am also the contact for Equinology Inc and their NSW courses. If you are interested in equine massage or would like your horses massaged, my website www.equinemassage.com.au will be up and running later in the year or you can contact me on 041 111 3045." - Natalie Smith
